Forward the RFQ. We prepare the packet.
RFQ Relay is intentionally email-first. Your estimating team does not need to learn another portal for the standard pilot workflow.
1. Forward
Forward the buyer's RFQ email to rfq@rfqrelay.com with the original email context and relevant drawings/files attached. No special template is required.
2. Prepare
RFQ Relay organizes the request and extracts quote-prep details present in the source documents: part number, quantity, material, revision, finish, delivery, tolerances and related notes.
3. Review
We flag missing, ambiguous or conflicting information and human-review the prepared packet. If clarification is needed, a human-confirmed clarification request can be sent.
4. Quote
Your estimator receives the Quote-Ready RFQ packet and keeps full control of machining assumptions, cycle time, costing, margin and the final commercial quote.
What should we send?
PDF drawings are the primary source for extraction. STEP/STP/IGES/IGS/DXF/DWG/ZIP files can travel with the RFQ and remain available with the job, but the standard service does not independently interpret CAD geometry to calculate machining price.
What RFQ Relay does not do
RFQ Relay does not calculate your machining price, approve engineering decisions, choose cycle times or set your margin. Your team owns the final quote.
Regulated technical data
Do not send ITAR, CUI, export-controlled or classified technical data through the standard service unless a compliant workflow has been separately agreed in writing.
